Today we are all working together in a world where there is a huge amount of information.
An example: Scott is a sales person for Microsoft and he is working for a huge customer.
This customer wants to start with SharePoint, CRM, Parature and Social Engagement.
Each time he has a call or a meeting he is writing some notes in OneNote.
After the meeting Scott is sending the notes to the customer and is logging a summary in CRM to keep track of all opportunities in the pipeline. But he has to switch a lot, there is information in CRM and in OneNote. His colleagues are working in CRM and are asking for his notes. So he has to send them. He is losing time with this. Not anymore with Microsoft CRM because now there is smooth integration between Microsoft CRM and OneNote. On the screenshot below you can see a section in CRM with show the sections of the OneNote notebook. So today Scott colleagues doesn’t have to ask about the notes, they are available to them through the CRM interface.
For social engagement he wants to work together with an external partner what he did in the past was sending his notes to the partner with some questions.
They had a few call’s and he receives answers and updates his notes.
But not today, with OneNote Online and Office 365 he just shares his notes and the external people are able to update those notes just like everyone else.
A notebook not enough for you?
What if we integrate your documents, Unified communications and calendars in CRM?
Microsoft CRM is able to do that with Office 365 groups, this create a unique workspace for each project/opportunity where you can define a specific calendar for that opportunity and where all communication(mail, IM, documents and OneNote notebooks) is centralized.
I hope you see this is something really powerful to work together with people within or outside of your organisation. and is so much easier and less time consuming.
